Traffic problems in Las Vegas come with Donald Trump and Kamala Harris rallies | Traffic

With Donald Trump and Kamala Harris each planning events in Las Vegas on Thursday, motorists across the Valley should prepare for traffic problems of presidential proportions.

Trump is holding a planned rally at Lee's Family Forum in Henderson on Green Valley Parkway, south of the 215 Beltway. Doors are scheduled to open at 11:30 a.m. Thursday and the former president's address is scheduled for 3:30 p.m

With Trump expected to be in Green Valley, motorists should expect traffic problems on the Beltway and on the Green Valley and Paseo Verde parkways near Lee's Family Forum. Those looking to avoid traffic on the Green Valley Parkway could also increase traffic on Valle Verde Drive and St. Rose Parkway/Pecos Road, which include the Green Valley Parkway in a north-south direction and have access to the Beltway.

Harris is expected to attend rallies in Phoenix and Reno on Thursday before heading to Las Vegas, where the event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. The location of Harris' event in Southern Nevada has not been publicly announced, but the vice president will be announced along with musical guest ManĂ¡ and actress/recording artist Jennifer Lopez.

Based on previous visits by the president and vice president, the following roads could be affected by Harris' motorcade: the Airport Connector Tunnel, Tropicana Avenue, Las Vegas Boulevard, the 215 Beltway and Interstate 15.

The Federal Aviation Administration also issued two separate temporary flight restrictions over Las Vegas Valley airspace for the movement of VIPs. One covers Las Vegas and runs between 7:15 p.m. Thursday and 10:45 a.m. Friday. The other covers Las Vegas and Henderson and takes place on Thursdays between 12:45 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Harris' previous visits to Las Vegas included ground stops at Harry Reid International Airport as Air Force Two arrived and departed.
